Three daily P&O ferries sail from Portsmouth to the Terminal de Grande Bretagne, not far from the train and bus stations in the Bassin de la Citadelle (tel 08.03.01.30.13). The terminal, which has a tourist information kiosk in summer, is connected by shuttle buses with the gare SNCF (tel 02.35.98.50.50), 1.5km east of the Hôtel de Ville on cours de la République, and the gare routière alongside, the base for local and long distance buses.Le Havre's rather inconspicuous and not very central tourist office is on the main oceanfront drag, at 186 bd Clémenceau (MaySept MonSat 9am7pm, Sun 10am12.30pm & 2.306pm; OctApril MonSat 9am6.30pm, Sun 10am1pm; tel 02.32.74.04.04, www.lehavretourisme.com) The post office at 62 rue Jules Siegfried (MonFri 8am7pm, Sat 8amnoon; tel 02.32.92.59.00) offers Internet access, as does Cybermetro, facing the gare SNCF at 15 cours de la République (daily 9ammidnight; tel 02.32.73.04.28).
